We recently took a trip to Iowa for Kelly's birthday and to visit with family. Lauren got to see her grandmas and grandpa and cousins! She hadn't seen some of them since she was 3 months old. Mommy and Daddy got to see a lot of our old friends, too. It was a nice trip.
I babysat Jonah today. Jonah had just left with his daddy. And, I told his dad, Josh, that Jonah and Lauren played all day and barely took a nap. So, Jonah should crash tonight for bed. Little did I know, so would Lauren...at the dinner table minutes after Jonah left. Court
Lauren and her friend Blaise and Auntie "Giga" Gina went to the Phoenix Zoo today. Lauren and Blaise loved the little Monkey Village. They got so excited when the monkeys would get so close. I think Lauren thought she could pet them and take one home. So, we stopped at the gift shop. And, the girls got matching stuffed monkeys that make monkey sounds.
Lauren is rooting for the Cardinals this season! They have made it farther this season than both the Bears and the Rams. So, Lauren has joined the band wagon, and is wearing the Cardinal proudly. Okay, so it's Shane's hat. But, Lauren wore it well!!

Christmas this year was a lot of fun. Grandma and Grandpa Thompson and Uncle Nick came to Phoenix to spend Christmas with us. It was a fun-filled week of shopping, eating, going to see Santa and relaxing. Lauren was not a huge fan of Santa. I had to sit with her. There was no way she was going to sit on his lap by herself.
On Christmas Eve, we went to Zoolights. It's become a Christmas Eve tradition for us. It was a beautiful night and the lights were so great to see. Christmas day was a great and relaxing day at home. It was the 6 of us and Dennis' aunt and uncle Karol and Dennis. It was so great to have family around. Lauren loved all the extra attention!
