Although she hasn't experienced football first hand, based off of the stories that I have told her she is eagerly awaiting the kickoff of the college football season. Go Hawks!!
A place to keep up with our toddler!!

They ran some tests and called the OB's office and somewhere along the line they made the call to admit her. We got to our room at around 3:00 PM and they had a plan in place that put best guess estimates of delivery at around 3:00 in the morning,
Well 3 came and went. She was dilated perfectly but little Lauren just didn't want to come out. There were a few things working against us though. First, there was the high blood pressure which just wasn't going down. Little Lauren was also facing the wrong way. And to top it all off, Court was starting to get a fever.
After two hours of hard pushing the doctor made the decision that the baby just didn't want to come out that way so they decided to go C-Section. Within minutes after the call they were scrubbed up and ready to go.
The operation went successfully and at 8:10 MST little Lauren Rose Malone was brought into the world. There was a little bit of a hiccup in the fact that because of the series of events, standard protocol dictated the baby should have gone to the NICU (which is where Courtnee works). Had that happened she would have to be there a minimum of 72 hours instead of here in the room with us. But because the Neo-Natologist was a friend of Courts who was nice enough to come in on her day off, she went to bat for us and they allowed little Lauren to go through the regular C-Section jive.
So we are now all in our room recuperating and everyone is doing well. Oh, and the Vitals.
8lbs 3oz - 20 inches long.
Feel free to forward this on to anyone I missed. I am sending this from my phone so I don't have everyone's emails.
Love,
Dennis, Courtnee and Lauren Malone
